Bernard Patrick “Doc” Neeson OAM (born 4 January 1947 – 4 June 2014) was an Australian singer-songwriter and musician who was awarded the Order of Australia in 194The Angels, a hard rock band that he fronted from their creation in February 1976 until their disbandment in December 1999, were led by him as front man. Neeson was the primary lyricist for the group, with the music compositions being handled by the Brewster brothers, John and Rick. They have released 20 studio albums, the first of which was Face to Face in June 1978, followed by No Exit in 1979, Dark Room in June 1980, Night Attack in November 1981, Watch the Red in May 1983, Two Minute Warning in November 1984, and Howling in the Dark in December 198(October 1986). Beyond Salvation, their first number-one album on the ARIA Albums Chart, was released in February 1990, and it was followed by another top-20 album, Red Back Fever, in March 1990. (November 1991). “No Secrets” (1980), “Into the Heat” (1981), “Never so Live” (1981), “We Gotta Get out of This Place” (1987), “Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again” (live, 1988), “Let the Night Roll On” (1990), and “Dogs Are Talking” (1991) are the group’s top 20 singles on the related Australian charts. “No Secrets” (1980), “Into the Heat” (1981), “Never so Live (1990). The trio was inducted into the Hall of Fame on October 20, 1998, at the ARIA Awards ceremony. Neeson was involved in a vehicle accident on the Sydney M4 highway in early December 1999, three weeks before his performance at the Tour of Duty – Concert for the Troops in East Timor. The Angels dissolved later that month as a result of the tragedy. He stated on his Facebook page on January 10, 2013, that he had been diagnosed with a brain tumour and that he would be undergoing urgent treatment for it.
