Sue Henry (born 1940) is a mystery and thriller novelist who specialises in psychological thrillers. Besides that, she has worked as a college administrator and lecturer at the University of Alaska, and she has resided in Anchorage, Alaska, since the 1970s. Her first novel, Murder on the Iditarod Trail (1991), received positive reviews and was nominated for both the Macavity and the Anthony Awards for best first novel, prompting the author to create a series based on the characters in the book, Alaskan state trooper Alex Jensen and sled dog racer Jessie Arnold. Her latest mystery series, Maxine McNab, is set in the 1960s and follows a 63-year-old widow named Maxine McNab as she travels the country in her Winnebago with her small dachshund, Stretch. Maxine has previously starred in the first season of Dead North (2001). Henry took on the road in order to do research for the book.
